This diorama depicts the part of the house in which the family gets together and wraps up the day events. It shows the "balance", musical instruments, table, and balcony.
It is a complete standing scene encased in a Plexiglas case cover and natural oak finished base.

"Mamparas"
This half doors that let the breezes through and give you privacy are called "mamparas," and they are typical in old Cuban houses.
"Mamparas" are made out of wood, glass, and carved details. The scene is mounted in a shadow box in a silver and gold frame.

"La Puerta"
This diorama is typical of an old Cuban mansion. It is encased in a box and framed, protected by plexiglass.
The scene depicts a high door with an elegant “mampara” in front. The doors were common for cross ventilation and room privacy. The “mamparas” are usually made of wood with beautiful designs, carvings, and semi-opaque glass.
One can see the hallway, cane holder and hat hanging on the side-wall, as well as the beautiful black and white tile floor.

"La Navidad"
This diorama is a little history of 11 Cuban scenes. Depicting los músicos, la rumbera, el mambí, el billetero, el gallero, el cortador de cana, el tabaquero, el manicero, el campesino. Many of the known Cuban archetypes that are remembered in history.
It is mounted on a clear oak base covered with a plexi-glass case.
